  1. Northwestern Coastal Florida
  2. One opportunity is with a healthcare system in coastal northwest Florida which is affiliated with a 400 bed main campus, and three outlying facilities. The healthcare system is currently in need of Cardiology, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Internal Medicine Hospitalist, Urology, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Psychiatry, and OB/GYN. The positions are located in a metro area that sits on the coast of the stunning Gulf of Mexico, which offers all the benefits of outdoor activities. The area also has excellent school systems, a regional airport and many exciting cultural activities. The shopping and dining are superb. The healthcare system was ranked as the 10th best place to work according to Fortune magazine and has ranked number one in the nation in patient satisfaction surveys. A competitive compensation package has been structured that includes CME, vacation, partnership positions, relocation expenses, etc.

  3. Birmingham, Alabama
  4. The largest healthcare system in the state of Alabama is one of MedPlan’s foremost clients. With hospitals and clinics located all throughout the state, there are always practice opportunities available in a wide range of specialties. In Alabama’s largest city alone, the healthcare system has 3 major hospitals and over 50 clinics. Within an hour from the largest city, that number more than doubles. The locations across the state vary from major metro hospitals with over 400 beds to smaller hospitals and independent clinics in outlying areas. The lifestyle benefits of each area vary by location.

  5. Denver, Colorado
  6. MedPlan is also affiliated with a fifty-five hospital healthcare system which is based out of Denver, Colorado, and has facilities located all over the country. Obviously, as one of the bigger metropolitan areas in the country, Denver is known to be one of the best cities in America for quality of life, with excellent shopping, dining, school options, and of course the nearby skiing opportunities. The affiliated hospitals and surrounding communities range in size and location, including hospitals in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Missouri, Oregon, Kentucky, Nebraska and Arkansas, just to name a few. With such a large number of hospitals, the healthcare system is in constant need of just about every specialty, but especially Cardiology, Psychiatry, Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Infectious Disease, Anesthesiology, and Pulmonary and Critical Care.

  7. Northwest Metro South Carolina
  8. A hospital system in northwest South Carolina is currently looking for physicians in a large number of specialties. However, the most urgent needs are Pulmonary and Critical Care, Internal Medicine Hospitalist, Pediatric-ICU, Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The hospital system is affiliated with two of the most prestigious medical schools and houses seven different residency programs. The facilities house the region’s only Level I trauma center, as well as the Upstate’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Children’s Emergency Center. The surrounding city was recently named among the top ten hottest housing markets, and the schools are excellent. Centrally located a few hours from Atlanta and Charlotte, the area is highly accessible. A mild climate and ideal location allows for an abundance of outdoor activities, including snow-skiing in the nearby Appalachians, water-skiing, hiking, golfing and much more. Spectator sports are also plentiful due to the well-known, nearby universities and several local sports teams. Great shopping, unbeatable dining and year-round cultural events are available as well.

  9. Central Tennessee Metro
  10. A healthcare system in a major metro area of Tennessee is currently looking for many surgical specialties, as well as many primary care physicians. Some specialties include Neurology, OB/GYN, Radiology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, Medicine/Peds, Internal Medicine Hospitalist, Geriatrics, Psychiatry, Vascular Surgery. The area is primarily fee-for-service. The climate is excellent, and there are terrific recreation opportunities, including hiking, golfing and much more. Spectator sports are also plentiful due to several local sports teams. The area has a thriving retail and manufacturing economy, a reverent sense of history and culture, superior schools, and the friendliest people in the world.

  11. Metro Montana
  12. A healthcare system in Montana with a not-for-profit acute care hospital is currently looking for physicians concentrating in a wide range of specialties, including several openings in Primary Care specialties. More urgent needs include Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Pulmonary and Critical Care, EP Cardiology and Psychiatry. The system has a nine-county drawing area and is located in a major metro area with an airport. Beautiful natural scenery surrounds the area and an abundance of outdoor activities are available in the community as well as excellent school systems.

  13. North Central Alabama
  14. A healthcare system in North-central Alabama with a 130-bed hospital that is located in a progressive, medium-sized community and serves the populace of a five county area. The hospital has an active physician staff of almost 100 and a nursing staff of over 800. The average age of the medical staff is 43 years old. Currently, the healthcare system needs Plastic Surgery, OB/GYN, Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, and Orthopaedic Surgery. The community offers an abundance of outdoor activities which include gorgeous area lakes, golf courses, hiking, fishing and more. Historic attractions include covered bridges and an antebellum district. There are excellent schools, and a major metro area and international airport is only a 45 minute drive away.

  15. Northern Texas Metro
  16. Located just outside of one of the largest cities in Texas, this area in North Texas is the ideal size to have a successful practice and have a great place to raise a family. There are three practice opportunities available, in three different specialties. The practices are affiliated with an over 200 bed hospital, which is a part of a much larger health care system in the state. The first is an Internal Medicine position with a currently 5 physician group. Another is an Orthopedic Surgery position with a practice of 4. The last position is a Vascular Surgery position with a 2 man group. The Vascular Surgeon would have the option to perform 100% Vascular or a mix of Vascular and General.

  17. Central Virginia Metro
  18. Central Virginia is rich in history, culture, and tradition; the metro area is also full of recreational activities, dining options, and masses of shopping. The opportunity is with a large hospital system in the state of Virginia, with an urgent need for a Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician in a currently 3 man group. Other opportunities include Radiology, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Gastroenterology, and Radiation Oncology. There are too many benefits to list about this outstanding opportunity, and the area speaks for itself!

  19. Southern California Metro
  20. This opportunity is located in a rapidly growing and culturally diverse area of Southern California. The highly fashionable area is home to a 4 physician Plastic Surgery group that is looking for an additional partner. The group is affiliated with a massive hospital complex that has undergone much renovation and growth in the past ten years. The position will involve a nice mix of plastics and reconstructive cases. Additional fellowship training and specialization would be highly preferred. Other opportunities include OB/GYN, Hematology Oncology, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Radiology, Internal Medicine Hospitalist, and Orthopedic Surgery with fellowship training in either foot and ankle or adult reconstructive. The excitement and endless possibilities of Southern California make this a great place for both families and singles. Some of the best private schools in the state are located within twenty minutes from the hospital. Whether its arts, golf, sailing, hiking or just about anything else you could dream up, this place has it all!

  21. Southern Texas Metro
  22. Among the popular places to live in the state of Texas, this has to be among the most popular. The opportunity is with a healthcare system that has three very large hospitals in the area. An 8 physician OBG group is looking for another physician to join their practice on a partnership track. The new physician will enjoy the ease of obtaining new patients and the friendly but professional atmosphere of the office. This area also needs Cardiology (either EP or Interventional), Infectious Disease, Pulmonary and Critical Care, Hematology Oncology, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology. The area has tons of fabulous shopping, dining, culture, and history. There dozens of private school options, and plenty of home communities ranging from stylish subdivisions to cozy, family friendly neighborhoods.

  23. Northern Metro Oregon
  24. Another practice location is a hospital located in a northern, major metro area of Oregon. Among the specialties needed here are Neurosurgery, Pulmonary and Critical Care, Internal Medicine Hospitalist, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, OB/GYN, Cardiology, General Surgery and Psychiatry. The community is situated in a quaint, suburban area, less than 20 minutes from the metro area. The locale is less hectic and more relaxing than big city living, and is a great place to raise a family. The area offers excellent school systems, beautiful lakes, golf courses and an abundance of outdoor activities, including a zoo, arboretum, hiking and more. The major metro area provides countless dining options, tons of shopping, and interesting and varied cultural activities.

  25. West Central Washington Metro
  26. This opportunity is conveniently located in the middle of Washington’s largest city and its capitol. The affiliated healthcare system is based out of the area and includes two of the city’s largest hospitals, and is assisting practices with locating new physicians. Among the needed specialties are Internal Medicine Hospitalist, for a large medicine group; Family Practice for a five physician Family Medicine group; EP or Interventional Cardiology for a four physician Cardiology group; Pediatric Critical Care for a four physician Pediatric group; and Orthopedic Surgery for an Orthopedic/Sports Medicine group; both Neurology and Neurosurgery for a three physician Neuroscience group; and Vascular Surgery to join a group of General and Vascular Surgeons. The area is home to a large university, and offers all the benefits of a major metro area. Local waterways, nature parks and temperate climate provide for countless outdoor activities, and the area has many dining, shopping, and cultural opportunities as well.

  27. Southeastern Coastal Florida
  28. Located in a famous beach community in Southeastern Florida, these practice opportunities could not be in a better place for those who love sand, shopping, and exciting social and cultural activities. The affiliated hospital is the largest in the area, and is home to an esteemed heart health care institute. The Emergency Medicine department is seeking another physician to join the staff. Specialties that are also needed include EP Cardiology and Invasive Cardiology, both with the option to join one of three different practice settings; Plastic Surgery to join a highly successful, high volume four physician practice; Orthopedic Hand Surgery, as well as Orthopedic Spine Surgery and Orthopedic Adult Reconstructive Surgery for positions in different practice settings. The area has innumerable activities, whether they are outdoor, at the beach or at a state park, or indoor, at the many museums, malls, and international markets that adorn the area.

  29. Northern Ohio Metro
  30. Work on the campus of one of the largest hospitals in Northern Metro Ohio, which also happens to be near the shore of one of the Great Lakes! This hospital, which is part of large hospital system with several hospitals in the area, is assisting several practices with locating physicians. Some of the most needed specialties include Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for a six physician practice; Vascular Surgery for a three physician General and Vascular Surgery practice; Dermatology to join a two physician for a rapidly growing practice; Pulmonary and Critical Care for a three physician group; and Infectious Disease to join a large group. Also, Primary Care physicians are needed for a variety of practice situations. The major metro area has fantastic shopping, dining, and plenty of culture, in the form of museums, art shows, and performing arts.

  31. Eastern Tennessee Metro
  32. A 300-bed tertiary facility located in beautiful metro area of Tennessee is seeking physicians in many fields, but especially EP Cardiology. Other specialties needed include Neurology, Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, OB/GYN, Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, and Radiology. Surrounding lakes, mountains, and beautiful scenery make this the ideal place for outdoors enthusiasts. Cultural and recreational activities are plentiful, as well as excellent educational opportunities at the major university located nearby. The area has all the amenities of a major metro area, including great dining and shopping.

  33. Central Arizona Metro
  34. This two hospital health care system is located in a very fashionable area of Arizona, located just outside of the largest city in the state. Several practice opportunities are available in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and General Surgery, with groups ranging in size. In Plastic Surgery, there are two practice positions; one is to join another Plastic Surgeon for his rapidly growing practice and the other is to join three physician group to try to manage their skyrocketing case load. An Orthopedic Sports Medicine physician is also needed for a five physician Orthopedics group. Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry are needed for a very large, and growing, psychiatry practice that has locations all across the area. The area is home to a population that is reputed for its artistic nature, cultural sense, and love of education. This is simply one of the best places to live, with some of the finest dining, shopping and events in the state of Arizona. Outdoors enthusiasts will love the abundant national and state parks, and as a fun day trip, the wonder and majesty that is the Grand Canyon.

  35. Eastern Louisiana Metro
  36. Eastern major metro Louisiana is home to several well-recognized universities and medical institutions, as well as a rich history, distinctive culture, and a “little parade” that happens once a year. The healthcare system is currently searching for physicians to place at their centrally located hospital, and with practices located on the campus of the hospital. Emergency Medicine physicians are needed to join the large and extremely well-equipped Emergency Department. Other practice situations include: Pulmonary and Critical Care to join a five physician group; Plastic Surgery, a mix of reconstructive and plastics, to join a currently solo physician; Neurology to join a three physician group; Orthopedic Adult Reconstructive, or straight up Orthopedic Surgery to join a very large Orthopedics group; and Vascular Surgery to join a mixed group of Vascular and General Surgeons. The area has excellent private schools, and wonderful housing areas that are located nearby the hospital. The dining, culture, and shopping are all world-class, as suits an area of this enormous size.

  37. Southern Metro Alabama
  38. As the premier healthcare system in central Alabama, nearly 70 percent of residents in a three county area choose this system for their healthcare needs. The system consists of three hospitals and a full complement of medical services. The system is partnered with the first ambulatory surgery center constructed in Alabama, which performs more than 10,000 surgical cases each year. A number of outpatient services support the ever-changing needs of central Alabama. Outpatient specialties offered include diabetes, breast health, home health, hospice, sleep disorders, speech and hearing, physical rehabilitation and wound care. This system is also very involved within the communities they serve. As a part of their faith-centered values, they offer a number of screening and health education programs throughout the year. This system is continually evaluating and updating its technologies and facilities in order to remain on the cutting-edge of procedures and services. Physicians are an integral part of this healthcare system. Opportunities are currently available in the following specialties: family practice, internal medicine, OB/GYN, urology, pulmonary, ENT, GI, cardiology, general surgery, pediatric subspecialties, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology and endocrinology. Central Alabama is full of history and opportunity. There is an abundance of cultural and outdoor activities available to everyone. Both public and private schools are available in the area. With all the amenities of a large city, it has the feel of a small town.

  39. Metro North Carolina
  40. A hospital located in a beautiful area of North Carolina has a large service area, and is looking for several primary care physicians as well as General Surgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons. Enjoy an ideal lifestyle in a family-friendly community with great schools and an extremely short drive to a major metro area. The area is also surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful scenery which provides plenty of outdoor activities.

  41. Southeastern Alabama College Community
  42. A healthcare system located in southeastern Alabama, with a 300-bed facility that was recognized by “Fortune Magazine” as one of the most desirable places to work in the country, is seeking physicians specializing in Orthopedics, Neurology, Cardiology, Psychiatry and Pediatrics, as well as Primary Care. The position is located in a Southeastern college town and growing community. The local university has nationally recognized SEC football and basketball teams. The community is 45 minutes from a metro area and one hour and fifteen minutes from Atlanta. There is an abundance of outdoor activities in the area: hunting, fishing, Robert Trent Jones golf courses, and one of the most beautiful lakes in the Southeast, located 15 minutes from the hospital. The area is also recognized for excellent school systems.

  43. Northern Metro Delaware
  44. A hospital, located in a metro area of northern Delaware is affiliated with a healthcare system that is looking to obtain physicians in Orthopedic Surgery to join a single specialty five physician group, in Pulmonary and Critical Care to join a three physician group, and in Vascular Surgery to join a General Surgery group with the option to do 100% Vascular. There are also a few Primary Care positions available with groups that range in size. Other positions include Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine Hospitalist, Radiation Oncology and Plastic Surgery. The hospital recently invested several million dollars into renovations in multiple departments, including OR, Outpatient Surgery and Physical Therapy, among others. This family-friendly community is located within minutes of lakes for the water sports enthusiast and the area also offers golfing and performing arts as well as excellent district schools. In addition, it is located just a short drive away from a huge metro area in an adjoining state, which offers even more shopping, dining, culture and recreation.

  45. Southeastern Coastal Metro Georgia
  46. One of the largest hospitals in Southeastern Coastal Georgia is assisting several affiliated groups with locating physicians for their practices. Internal Medicine physicians are needed to join a large medicine group that is located on the hospital campus. Physicians are needed as well in Gastroenterology to join a three physician practice and also in Psychiatry to join a two physician group. Surgical specialties needed include General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Orthopedics. Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry has a growing need as well. The city lies on the coast in the Southeastern part of the state and is one of the most interesting and culturally diverse areas in the Southeast. A rich artistic tradition and dozens of local legends surround the area in an air of mystery. Local architecture is unique, and the cuisine and shopping is very nearly unbeatable. Several movies have been filmed in this historic city by the sea, and its mystique has attracted numerous authors and artists to find their inspiration within its borders.
